The Morrissey Hydraulic Crush Is Here!
QUIET - SAFE - EFFICIENT
In the rugged terrain of Australian cattle farming, pastoralists grapple with some of the most challenging conditions on the planet.
From remote landscapes to unpredictable weather, numerous factors lie beyond their control.
Yet, the key to thriving in this demanding environment lies in harnessing what can be managed effectively — enhancing productivity, safety, and profitability through strategic innovation.
Enter the Morrissey Hydraulic Crush, a testament to over 110 years of expertise in the pastoral industry, designed with both the animal's welfare and the operator's safety in mind.
This solar-powered, battery-operated solution marks a significant leap forward, eliminating the need for costly mains power or noisy generators, while significantly increasing processing efficiency.
With thoughtful design catering to the animal's flight zone for smoother cattle flow and independent upper and lower squeezes for safer handling, the Morrissey Crush not only reduces animal stress but also minimises the risk of staff injuries and operator fatigue.
In an industry where so much is left to chance, the Morrissey Hydraulic Crush ensures your operations prosperity through improved efficiency and a steadfast commitment to safety and animal welfare.
No matter if it's the house yard or remote paddocks, the Morrissey Hydraulic Crush will increase productivity without a generator causing unnecessary stress to your stock.
Remote control operation allows freedom of movement throughout the yards, allowing operators to multitask while controlling the crush.
Incorporating an independent upper and lower squeeze function, the Morrissey Hydraulic Crush allows the operator to adjust and immobilize cattle of any size. This top and bottom squeeze is perfect for keeping your cattle still while pregnancy testing and performing other husbandry practices, keeping both the animal and operator safe at all times.
Morrissey & Co's Solar Powered Hydraulic Crush is the world's first battery-powered crush.
Got a question? We’re here to help.
Two alternate smart lithium battery options are available.
Assuming that the users do not operate below 20% battery life:
The crush can operate in all environments, with one solar panel typically adequate for most Australian conditions. However, if the crush is being operated in a high rainfall location, we suggest utilising a second solar panel to improve charging capacity in cloudy weather. The solar panel's charging rate can be assessed using the Victron Connect App.
The remote has a range of 25 to 30 meters.
You can manually override each solenoid or use the safety release valve to release all hydraulic pressure.
The crush is compatible with standard scale mounting points, suitable for Gallagher or Tru-Test load bars. These can be purchased through Morrissey & Co. or your chosen agent.
This does not come as standard; however, customers have the option to purchase an optional extra - the Victron Easy Solar Converter/Charger/MPPT attachment to cater to this requirement.
Using the Victron Connect App, customers can connect via Bluetooth to the crush’s smart battery allowing the user to check the battery status.
In addition to this, the Victron Connect App allows the user to connect to the MPPT solar regulator, to monitor the charging rate from the solar panel.
